Hey everyone, it is John, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, pot roast. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

The ingredients needed to make Pot Roast:
  1. Take 3-4 pound beef roast
  2. Get 2 lbs baby carrots
  3. Get 6 large potatoes
  4. Get 2 tablespoons worchestire sauce
  5. Prepare RUB - I tbsp each salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
  6. Prepare 1 packet beef stew seasoning (any brand)
  7. Get 1 cup water
Steps to make Pot Roast:
  1. Mix ingredients for rub. Use 3/4 of it to coat all sides of roast.
  2. Heat skillet on high. Add worcestershire sauce. Sear each side of the roast in a very hot pan.
  3. Place roast in center of roasting pan. Cut potatoes into 4s. Place potatoes and carrots around roast. Sprinkle the reminder of the rub over meat, potatoes and carrots.
  4. Mix beef stew packet with 1/2 cup water. It will be thick! Drizzle it all over the meat, potatoes and carrots.
  5. Cover and bake at 250 for 2 1/2 hours. After the first hour add a 1/2 cup of water. Baste every half hour.
  6. After finished cooking let sit for 15 minutes. Slice meat.
  7. Serve with the potatoes and carrots. Broth will be thick and rich! Enjoy!
  8. I've made this for large gatherings. Always a crowd pleaser!
